Bruce Clash continues his role as Pennsylvania state director of Fight Crime: Invest in Kids in its new home within Pennsylvania Partnerships for Children (PPC). In this role since January 2001, Bruce partners with the bipartisan voices of more than 250 Pennsylvania police chiefs, sheriffs, and district attorneys to advocate for increased state and federal investments in early childhood care and education, family support programs and for the prevention childhood lead poisoning that are shown to reduce future juvenile and adult crime by helping put children and families on paths to success.
Bruce began his career in Washington, D.C. with a government relations firm on Capitol Hill advocating client issue positions before the U.S. Congress and numerous executive agencies. He subsequently became the public affairs director for the Industrial (now International) Safety Equipment Association in Arlington, Virginia. There he represented the personal protective equipment industry before Congress, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and other federal agencies.
After moving to Pennsylvania in 1999, Clash worked for Delta Development Group, an economic development and community planning consulting firm in the Harrisburg area.
Bruce earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Politics and Government from Ohio Wesleyan University and a Master of Public Administration degree from The American University. He and his wife reside in Carlisle where they raised their three now-adult daughters.
