Number of PA uninsured children stable, but no progress

The number of uninsured children in Pennsylvania hasn’t changed much. But the problem remains: no progress has been made to get them covered.

Pennsylvania Partnerships for Children says from 2022 to 2023, the rate of kids in Pennsylvania without health insurance remained steady at 5.2%, which officials found surprising.

“A pleasant surprise because we were expecting a potentially another year of loss in children’s coverage,” said Vice President of Public Policy Becky Ludwick.
