The announcement late Thursday afternoon that a congressional vote had been postponed for the Republicans’ proposed replacement for Obamacare was the action the state’s hospital association and several patient advocacy groups were calling for earlier in the day.
“We just want Congress to take pause and reconsider what they are looking at with the (American Health Care Act),” Jim Willshier, director of policy and partnership for Pennsylvania Association of Community Health Centers, said during a press call Thursday morning.
