A just-signed law designed to modernize Pennsylvania’s election laws and help pay for new voting machines also includes money for the state to bolster federal census efforts.

The number of children in the nation with no health insurance increased from 2016 to 2018, but a new report shows that in Pennsylvania the insurance rate stayed about the same.

The Pennsylvania Partnerships for Children released a report Tuesday about children’s health care. In it, Lancaster County is reported to have the highest rate of uninsured children in the state at 16 percent, almost 22,000 kids.

As the 2020 U.S. census approaches, Americans overwhelmingly are aware of it, and more than eight-in-ten (84%) say they definitely or probably will participate, a new Pew Research Center survey finds. Still, 16% express at least some uncertainty about responding, with higher shares saying this among some demographic groups.
